Orren Merton has been writing fantasy and science fiction since an embarrassingly young age.
Along the way, he picked up a guitar and played in bands around California, eventually forming the industrial rock band Ember After. He also spent years writing and editing articles, manuals, and books about music software and technology.
His fiction includes the urban fantasy novel The Deviant, the science fiction novel Skye Entity, and The Sedumen Chronicles, a series of young adult urban fantasy novels and stories about parallel worlds, strange powers, and the people caught between them.
He lives in Southern California with his family, pets, a collection of science-fiction and fantasy memorabilia, and a curiously large stuffed-animal collection.
