And now Prince is gone

Prince has died at 57.

He was one of the very best. I loved his guitar playing, and his songwriting. When I was a teenager and only had AM pop radio in my ancient Plymouth, I used to rejoice every time a Prince song came on to save me from the mediocrity of everything else.

We’ve lost Lemmy, Bowie, now Prince–and it’s only April.
